About the company
JITONA was a traditional Czech brand with its own production of solid and veneered furniture. The main focus of production was the production of furniture components and assemblies for IKEA and its own design assemblies of veneered and solid wood furniture. The production of veneered and solid products for IKEA was the domain of the Klatovy production plant and accounted for about 2/3 of the company's total sales. JITONA also focused on the production of its own collection of solid wood and veneer furniture - living walls, bedrooms and dining rooms. Most of the production was exported. The target markets were mainly Germany, Great Britain, Sweden and Denmark. Since 2013, Jitona has also produced professional loudspeakers (plywood construction including special finishes) for the Bosch brand sold under the Dynacord and Electro Voice brands (this production continues in 2020/21).
In 2019, thanks to a significant change in the portfolio of products purchased by IKEA and the pressure to sell at lower prices (while operating costs rather increased), it was decided to close the plant in Třebíč and Klatovy, including the Company's own furniture production. Furniture production was subdued and Jitona split into separate industral parks, which are operated as rental premises for production and logistics.
Jitona operates an industrial complex in Klatovy, which it offers for rent.
There is a total of 16,800 m2 of storage, production area and office space as well as social amenities in an area of over 4 hectares located in an industrial zone in the northern part of Klatovy, about 2 km from the E53 main road to Pilsen and 3 km from road no. 22 to Domažlice. The area is fully fenced, guarded and available 24/7. Utilities include a seweage system, water supply, 230 V / 400V electrical network, heat pipelines. There are outdoor handling areas for loading and unloading. The area is ready for gasification and the electricity network has sufficient capacity of . The rented premises can be customized according to the client's wishes.
JITONA also operates a photovoltaic power plant with an output of 1 MWhp on the roof of the Industry Park Třebíč company's halls.
